6020 Medical Gas Inspector
The purpose of the ASSE 6020 standard is to provide minimum performance criteria, identified by an industry consensus, for Medical Gas Systems Inspectors, to assure compliance with the referenced standards on Section 20-1.4 of the ASSE Series 6000 – American Society of Sanitary Engineers.
This web based training program. composed and narrated by Roland W. Lamer, an ASSE 6050 Medical Gas Systems instructor, provides a source of training and instruction compliant with ASSE 6020-4.1.1,4.1.2, and 4.1.3.
Completion of this training program will satisfy those instruction requirements necessary to gain access to the computer based examination administered by National Inspections Testing and Certifications. The successful completion of that examination will earn the ASSE 6020 Credential for Medical Gas Systems Inspectors.
The following minimum prerequisite qualifications must be met in order to participate in this training program.
“The candidate shall have been employed by a governmental unit as a plumbing and/or mechanical inspector, or as the administrator of such inspectors, or be a person regularly involved in the design, inspection, or verification of medical gas systems, or be a 6010 installer. Candidates shall have a minimum of two (2) years of documented practical experience or any combination of the above.”
